Sustainable Technologies Receives 8(a) Certification
Alameda CA - July 23, 2010 - Until now, there have been few companies able to meet diversity supplier demands while bringing green technology to the federal sector. Sustainable Technologies, a minority owned small business and professional environmental services firm founded in 1999 by Ernesto Montenero, has successfully obtained 8(a) certification from the U.S. Small Business Administration. Their company provides remediation, groundwater treatment systems, project management services and turn-key solar power systems.
Recently celebrating ten years in business, the company endeavors to pursue a variety of new federal contracting opportunities with agencies such as the EPA and the solid waste industry for remediation, electrical, energy efficiency and renewable energy services for a variety of applications. In their headquarters at Alameda Point, they are developing new products such as mobile remediation packages, solar leachate pumps, hybrid power generation stations for remote areas, and anaerobic digesters.
Sustainable Technologies is committed to sustainability and therefore is also a certified Bay Area Green Business, applying their knowledge and experience of green practices towards green remediation. Past and current clients include Amec Geomatrix, Blue Rock Environmental, Cameron-Cole Environmental, Conestoga-Rovers & Associates, Delta Environmental, ENSR, Golder Associates, Horizon Environmental, Pangea Environmental, Shaw, Stantec, Town of Tiburon, PowerLight and Cooperative Community Energy. They have been awarded by one of their many oil and gas industry clients for several years of Exemplary Contractor Safety Performance, maintaining a record of zero recordable incidents in their history.
